Having taken a recent visit to Deborah Hughes Inc. LLC and having the pleasure of meeting both Deborah and her partner Dawn, my eyes to the world of public relations has definitely opened. Deborah Hughes, according to her websites biography page, Deborah Hughes, who had worked with Carolina Herrera, envisioned a company where she can represent clients she felt the most passionate about. Her public relations company has a roster that includes art, fashion, culture, food, and non-profits.
Company focuses mainly in the fashion industry, as showcased in their showroom. They display in color order against a large white wall on a built in clothing rack, just a few fashion pieces of the designers they work with. Along with being a business they also contribute to philanthropic work like working with Donna Karan and working with her Urban Zen foundation and solving kids cancer foundation, which in turn has raised so much money already. With the effort it takes to put together a fashion show, between production, advertising, seating, decorations, back of the house preparations, front of the house preparations, social media, and mental health, the feed of positive and negative comments are something any large company endures. Of course, Deborah Hughes and her team have that covered with a special tech team that tracks anything said about them or their clients through a tracking system, cision.
With so many clients as much as 13 during the busiest times of the year, especially during fashion week, the small team of just 6 of them work long hours, day and night, to make all events and clients happy.

With so much on their plate, containing their composure as well and having amazing multitasking skills, Deborah Hughes Inc. always remembers even the smallest details in anything they do. It’s all in the details. Many of these details can also be seen in their showroom/office space. The office where they currently do business used to be Elton John’s music office, very impressive. Everything about that office is professional yet comfortable. Even Deborah’s dog makes it feel more like home. So although they are working professionals, they stay humble and honest in everything they do, trying not to make promises they can’t keep but ensuring that they let their clients know they’ll work diligently to make sure everything gets done.
